Welcome to our Pinterest Challenge day 4! Today, we will be finishing up our branding and doing a little bit of design. If you don’t want to do your own designs that is okay, you can always hire someone. I choose to do things myself most of the time, so I give you some tools that I use.
My favorite deisgn tool of all times is PicMonkey. It is very inexpensive and simply can’t be beat with the quality of products you can produce. You can go here, to view some great videos about how to use different design elements in PicMonkey.
The first thing you will need to do today is go into your theme settings on your blog. Here you will see a tab that is labeled Header. Click this tab and figure out what dimensions your header is. After you have that knowledge, head over to PicMonkey. Your screen should look like this.
Now you are going to click on the collage button. It will bring up your download or pictures files and ask you to pic a photo. You have to do this step to continue, but you don’t actually have to use the picture, so a random one will do.
Now your screen should look like this.
Now yo can go ahead and choose a layout and set the bottom pixels to match the dimensions of your blog header. You will have to press the unlock button to set the dimensions. When you have the dimensions, you will need to lock them again so they don’t change as you are designing.
After you have the dimensions set, you can play around with it some to add background colors and templates. When you are done here, press the edit button. This will take you to a different screen like the one below.
Here you get to play around with lots of cool features until you decide exactly what you want. :) After you have created the perfect header, put an image of it in the Facebook group so we can congratulate you. If you already have an amazing header, feel free to work on different design elements of your blog or business website. As always, let us know how you are doing in the Facebook group. See you there!
