This week we have been talking a lot about beliefs that will limit your success if allowed to continue. Today, I want to give you the key to success in life. You can apply this key to any situation in life, and it will unlock your success. You didn't think there was anything out there like that, did you? Well, you can pretty much claim this as your magic fairy dust because it works like magic. The only problem is once I tell you the secret, you probably won't do it because of its simplicity. We wonder at successful people wondering how in the world they got in that position, yet when they tell us, we over complicate it and don't do the steps.
So after much ado, the key is simply consistency, and I promise it is not over rated. It truly works. The key to consistency lies in your daily schedule, you must plan to be consistent. I like this quote although I don't know the author, "Do something today that your future self will thank you for."
Your life will dramatically change once you make this simple paradigm shift that you are what you are becoming. I know the quote sounds complicated, but it's not. Who you will be twenty years from now depends on the habits you form today. If you decide today, to read a self- development book for thirty minutes every day and actually fulfill that goal. Not only will this reading eventually become a habit, it will develop your character, encourage you to have a growth mindset, and give you tons of wisdom. So the person you would be in twenty years would be much more advanced than the one today because of one habit. Although, if you choose to not develop habits like this you will be the same person twenty years from now that you are today.
I am not sure about you, but I want to develop habits in my life that are going to help me grow in all aspects. I don't want to stay stagnant. I want to be consistent today so that I can reap the benefits years from now. This is honestly why so many people fail in online businesses, parenting, and in life, they think the professionals have some really incredible strategies that promote their growth. There is a little truth to that because successful people do invest in their personal education, they learn from other top producers, and then they do it. Day in and day out, they consistently do the mundane. The steps that grow your business fastest are the ones you don't want to do. They are the simple, mundane tasks.
Today, I challenge you to establish a habit that will create your ideal future self. Who do you want to be in your forties? Where do you want to be? What position and social status do you want to be in? What steps can you take today to be that person? Establish the steps and do them, even when it is boring and mundane. As our quote says, your future self will thank you for it.
